Ask A Pro: Taylor Knox
Q: How do pro surfers maintain a healthy diet when they’re on the road?
—Terry Sebold, Kilauea, HI
A: “I have to pay attention to what I am putting in my body, while at the same time not being too rigid. I don’t hold back from having my treats, but for me it’s all about timing—like eating Häagen-Dazs at 6 p.m. and not at 11 p.m. I also make sure I do the little things like eating brown rice instead of white. And the most important thing is if you’re going to eat dairy make sure it’s organic. You have to listen to your body, and no one should know it better than you.”
